We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant (Level II) to join our team and help us provide the best possible experience for our patients.

Mandarin language skills are an asset (preferred but not mandatory), given the community we serve.

Job Overview

As a key member of our team, the Dental Assistant will support our dentists and hygienists in providing efficient, comfortable, and compassionate care. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a commitment to patient satisfaction, and extensive chairside experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare instruments, materials, and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
  • Assist dentists chairside during treatments and procedures.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
  • Support patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort.
  • Maintain accurate digital records using dental software (Dexis, AbelDent).
  • Sterilize instruments and uphold infection control standards.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions.
  • Help schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the team across various specialties, including orthodontics and pediatrics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred).
  • Current HARP certification.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems (AbelDent) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Dexis (X-ray software) is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an asset but not required.
