POSITION SUMMARY

Primoris Canada is seeking an experienced Production Foreman – Yard Fabrication to support an Enbridge project at our outdoor fabrication yard in Acheson, AB. This role is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of yard fabrication activities, overseeing multi-discipline crews including labourers, pipefitters, welders, hydro testers, and rigging personnel.

Anticipated Start Date: February

Location: Acheson, AB

Shift: Dayshift 4x10s with potential OT

Hourly Rate: $56.12 (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, and education and training) and additional $5/hr-foreman rate

Outdoor Premium: Additional $3.00/hr

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate daily yard fabrication activities across multiple work areas
  • Lead and direct labourers, pipefitters, welders, and rigging crews to meet production targets
  • Ensure compliance with Enbridge, company, and OH&S safety standards
  • Conduct pre-job meetings, toolbox talks, and field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs)
  • Coordinate workflow based on production schedules, drawings, and work packages
  • Work closely with General Foreman, QA/QC, and planning teams
  • Monitor productivity and adjust manpower and sequencing as required
  • Ensure proper use of fabrication tools, equipment, cranes, and rigging gear
  • Identify and resolve fabrication, fit-up, and workflow issues
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization in assigned yard areas
  • Support quality requirements including inspection and weld traceability readiness
  • Enforce company policies related to timekeeping, attendance, and conduct
  • Mentor and develop crew members while promoting accountability
  • Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Journeyman trade certification (Pipefitter, Welder, or related trade) preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of fabrication or construction experience with supervisory exposure
  • Experience supervising yard or shop fabrication crews
  • Strong understanding of outdoor fabrication yard operations
  • Knowledge of pipe fabrication, welding processes, and rigging/crane activities
  • Experience on Enbridge or similar industrial projects considered an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, weld maps, and schedules
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid CSTS, CSO, or equivalent safety certification

Outdoor fabrication yard environment with exposure to varying weather conditions. Fast-paced, production-driven setting with direct leadership responsibility for multi-discipline crews.
