Business Systems Analyst – SAP Finance / S/4HANA GL (Contract)

Location: Canada - Toronta (Hybrid 1 day per week in office)

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with deep expertise in SAP Finance and S/4HANA General Ledger (GL) to join a leading financial institution. This role is ideal for a technically proficient BSA with a background in development and a strong command of SQL, who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document solution requirements for SAP Finance and S/4HANA GL modules.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation for development and implementation teams.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals and technical standards.
  • Perform data analysis and validation using advanced SQL queries.
  • Support system integration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Finance and S/4HANA General Ledger (GL).
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise technical documentation and solution requirements.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • Background in software development or strong technical acumen to understand and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the financial services or banking sector.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
