We are seeking a highly motivated and technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for a short-term contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and business intelligence, with hands-on experience in Oracle databases and Cognos reporting. This role is critical for supporting and enhancing our data-driven initiatives within a dynamic financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders in the Wealth Management or Capital Markets domain to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications for data structures, reports, and dashboards.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from Oracle databases.
  • Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, insights, and data quality issues.
  • Act as a liaison between the business users and the technical/development teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Support testing efforts, including creating test cases and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience
    as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) in a technical environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle database management
    , including advanced SQL query writing, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics
    (Report Studio, Framework Manager, or similar modules) for report and dashboard development.
