Working with a leading financial institution, this role calls for a Business Systems Analyst – (Interac / E-Transfers Payments) who will lead end-to-end business requirements gathering and analysis for complex, transformational, cross-functional projects within Enterprise Payments. The successful candidate will partner with stakeholders across lines of business, technology, operations, and governance to support real-time payment initiatives, with a strong focus on Interac e-Transfers and modernized payments platforms. This role requires excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and payment domain expertise to drive alignment with enterprise strategies and deliver seamless customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end business requirements lifecycle for Enterprise Payments projects, specifically Real-Time Rails (RTR) initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across lines of business, technology, governance, and operations to align on business goals.
  • Proactively identify and manage requirement risks, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Contribute to Change Management deliverables, including stakeholder analysis, gap analysis, and change planning.
  • Apply business analysis tools and techniques to ensure requirements align with enterprise strategies.
  • Partner with technology teams to guide system requirements and design recommendations.
  • Support Quality Assurance by contributing to test strategies, test plans, and defect resolution.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team capability development.
  • Foster collaboration through active team participation, recognition, and support of diversity and inclusion.

Desired Skill Set

  • Previous Lead Business Analyst experience within a financial institution.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payments, including Interac e-Transfers and real-time payments in the banking sector.
  • Experience defining target state business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
  • Effective negotiation and facilitation skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Agile project experience.
  • Business Analyst certification.
