Do you excel at keeping things running smoothly and enjoy leading in a fast-paced clinical setting? Our client—a reputable and long-standing organization located in Greenwood, NS—is looking to add a full-time, permanent Office Manager to their committed team.
As Office Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a vibrant vet clinic, ensuring efficiency and a positive workplace for both staff and clients. This role requires a strong leader who can balance administrative duties, financial tasks, and HR responsibilities while providing steady support in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Supervise and manage daily office operations to ensure efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including contract negotiations and service quality management
- Develop and implement training programs to boost staff skills and productivity
- Lead and support staff, providing guidance and direction as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with company policies and compliance standards. (AAHA Clinic)
- Assist in budgeting and financial processes, including monitoring expenses and aiding in preparing financial reports
- Use QuickBooks for managing financial transactions and generating reports
- HR to support employee onboarding and performance management
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment through effective leadership
Skills & Attributes for Success:
- Previous experience in a similar, dynamic office management role, preferably in a healthcare or clinic setting
- Knowledge of human resources practices, including onboarding and performance management
- Proficiency with QuickBooks for financial oversight
- Solid budgeting skills and experience managing financial processes.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and support a diverse team of dedicated staff
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and in an, at times, emotionally charged environment
- Exceptional problem-solving and customer service skills
- Responsible and diligent work ethic with the ability to independently manage office operations
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and strong problem-solving abilities
