Position Summary:
The SIOP – Business Analyst plays a key role in enabling effective production and demand planning through accurate setup, maintenance, and governance of planning and configuration data in ERP. This role ensures that all material, planning, and scheduling parameters are properly configured to support end-to-end visibility, supply-demand alignment, and site readiness for production execution. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert for planning data structures within ERP - bridging demand management, supply chain, engineering, and production planning to ensure that planning systems and parameters accurately reflect operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning Data Configuration & Maintenance (Primary)
- Create and maintain part and inventory master data across internal, purchased, and service parts.
- Configure and update planning parameters (lead times, min/max/multiples, order policies, safety stock, and methods).
- Establish master schedule and shop order setup to support production and demand alignment.
- Maintain site-specific attributes including availability rules, commodity codes, and sourcing parameters.
SIOP Model Enablement
- Ensure data integrity and completeness of supply and demand inputs feeding the SIOP model.
- Support monthly SIOP cycles through validation of part readiness, planning network setup, and schedule accuracy.
- Collaborate with Demand Management to ensure demand is reflected accurately in planning systems for all production programs.
Production Site Configuration & Governance
- Maintain planning networks and groupings for production and subassembly sites.
- Coordinate configuration of multi-site setups to ensure consistent supply and capacity visibility.
- Manage inventory transaction controls and locking/unlocking processes during cutovers or site transitions.
- Align data structures with manufacturing processes, classification types, and planning hierarchies.
Change Control & Documentation
- Maintain configuration documentation and change templates in alignment with governance standards.
- Support controlled updates to planning parameters and part data via approved change processes.
- Track and communicate updates related to part configuration, planning rules, and scheduling logic.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering for new part creation and updates.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain for purchased part setup and sourcing alignment.
- Collaborate with Demand Management and Production Planning to ensure consistent and timely data flow.
- Interface with centralized configuration and CM teams for standardized data management.
- Support production and manufacturing engineering teams during readiness and cutover activities.
Data Quality, Auditing & Troubleshooting
- Monitor data integrity and perform regular audits to ensure system accuracy.
- Validate MRP runs and planning network execution for consistency across sites.
- Investigate and resolve configuration errors, missing parameters, or discrepancies affecting production.
- Maintain performance logs and corrective action tracking to continuously improve data reliability.
Qualifications:
- 5+ Year experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Strong knowledge of part master data, planning parameters, and production control processes.
- Analytical ability to interpret engineering documents, BOMs, and planning structures.
- High attention to detail with proven data accuracy and governance discipline.
- Effective communicator and collaborator across technical and operational teams.
Preferred Sills:
- Exposure to multi-site manufacturing planning and MRP logic.
- Familiarity with centralized configuration and master data management processes.
- Experience supporting SIOP or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) environments.
