We are looking for a full-time permanent Purchasing Coordinator to join our team As the Purchasing Coordinator you are responsible for obtaining requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifying receipt of items; authorizing payments, budgetary and inventory control, and price negotiation.
What You Will Be Doing?
- Forward available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
- Verifying purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items.
- Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
- Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.
- Keep information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
- Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplish purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
What You Will Have:
- 2 – 3 years of purchasing experience in similar service industry.
- Ability to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn additional tasks as assigned.
- Knowledge of CRM would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365/Dynamics is an asset
- Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented with a Can Do attitude
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
