Required Experience

Applicants must be proficient in at least one of the following CNC lathe controls: Fagor, Fanuc, or Weiler.

Position Responsibilities

  • Set up and create or verify CNC lathe programs using Weiler, Fagor, or Fanuc controls.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
  • Efficiently set up a variety of parts on lathe chucks to minimize setup time.
  • Work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Use precision measuring and inspection tools to ensure quality.
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Follow all safety protocols and workplace regulations.

Daily Tasks

  • Operate CNC lathes to produce parts to exact specifications.
  • Set up machines and load materials efficiently.
  • Complete production logs and documentation.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and solve production challenges.

  • 2nd- and 3rd-year apprentices may be considered based on demonstrated ability.

Pay: $33.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
