We are currently seeking a Cafe & Market Manager to join our small passionate team. This leadership role supports the daily operations of both the café and market, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly—from inventory and ordering to customer service and team coordination.

Schedule: 35 to 40hrs/week

Hourly Rate: $18 to $22 per hour + tips based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory and place supplier orders to ensure stock levels.
  • Maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and source new products.
  • Supervise and support staff, including scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and support sales through merchandising and promotions.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, including health and safety compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and management to relay updates and foster collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a supervisor or management role in food service or retail (café/market experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and food safety standards.
  • Knowledge of local food systems and sustainable practices is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
