We are looking for a full - time Business Analyst to join one of our Fintech Clients at Toronto location.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Understand and review the business requirements and articulate the same into detailed
functional specifications and business scenarios
2. Liaise directly with business users from the bank and responsible for end-to-end delivery of the solution scope
3. Support various phases of functional testing
4. Showcase the product and impart training to project stakeholders
5. Review design and testing deliverables to ensure completeness of requirements
6. Participate in defect triage, root-cause analysis and query resolution
7. Support the finalization of non-functional requirements and interface requirements
8. Create product presentation decks for sales and marketing teams
9. Perform other duties as directed

Must have Skills and Experience

1. 5 to 8 years of experience with at least 4 years as business system analyst in a bank or Tier-1 IT organization, in the BFSI domain with a keen focus on Payments OR 5+ years as an operations user (corporate payments) in a Tier-1 bank
2. Experience in
a. Documenting use cases / business requirements (brd) / user stories
b. Gathering, articulating and documenting functional specifications (fsd/frd)
c. Product fitment and gap analysis
d. Maintaining end to end requirement traceability
e. Preparing flow diagrams
3. Proven experience in end-to-end processing (payment lifecycle) of electronic payments
(domestic and international) across various country/region specific payment schemes -
preferably US and Canada
a. High-value payments
b. Low-value batch payments
c. Real-Time / Instant payments
d. Requests-to-Pay
4. Knowledge of any one of the below industry standard payment file / message formats
a. SWIFT MT - MT 1xx, 2xx, 9xx
b. ISO20022 / SWIFT CBPR+ - , , ,
5. Proven product experience of having worked for at least 1 year on any of the below
components
a. Payment Initiation Channel - Internet, Mobile, API, Host-to-Host
b. Payment Processing - Pre-processor HUB, Payment Engine / Gateway
6. Experience of working in a complete SDLC - Waterfall and/or Agile models
7. Change / defect management experience with root-cause analysis
8. Excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills
9. Proven client interaction and direct participation in client requirement gathering, elicitation and functional solution design
10. Stakeholder management
11. Ability to operate with limited direct supervision

Good To Have
1. Exposure to core banking (accounting entries)
2. Basic technical knowledge of database, APIs, MQ
3. Proficiency in usage of tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office, Google Suite
4. Any of the below certifications
a. IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
b. IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)
c. IIBA Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
d. IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC)
e. IQBBA Certified Foundation Level Business Analyst (CFLBA)
f. IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE)
g. PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PBA)
