What You'll Be Doing

The Resiliency & Incident Management department at CIBC provides back office support for our Cheque, partners.  As a Consultant, Vendor Management, you will be accountable for supporting Incident Management for Retail Payment Services.  You will be working closely with senior leaders, third party suppliers, internal stakeholders and partners to foster relationships and resolve incidents. You put our clients first, thrive in collaborative and fast-paced environments, and continuously explore ways to Run, Protect and Transform how we work. You'll manage incidents, collect and document incident-related data, facilitate and solution recovery and resolution of issues in a timely fashion, and communicate findings to business partners; all with an objective of mitigating impacts to clients and operations.  Incorporate lessons learned into incident management process to drive continuous improvement.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

The successful candidate will participate in an on-call rotation, typically covering one to two weeks per month. During these periods, prompt response to critical incidents and support requests will be required.

How You'll Succeed

  • Incident Management  – Manage incidents which involve leveraging highly specialized expertise (e.g. In relation to cheque processing) to deal with various lines of business throughout CIBC and related service providers, during times of major business incidents.

  • Relationship/Stakeholder Management - Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, third party suppliers, operations, technology and business partners to resolve business, operations or technology problems/inquiries.  

  • Analyzing Business Requirements - Research and analyze (e.g. information related to cheque processing) information and recommend solutions to issues and problems that arise during the ongoing operation of business.
