Leaps & Bounds Children's Centres are licensed, non-profit child care centres with 3 current locations in Renfrew County. We are expanding and by end of 2026 we hope to have 6 licensed locations. We offer Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Aged Programs, depending on the location.

We require
a Finance and Administrative Assistant
with an anticipated start date in early March, 2026 working 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours daily. The rate of pay is $25.00 per hour plus 4% holiday pay.

For this newly created position, and while maintaining the utmost in confidentiality, this entry level role supports the Manager-Finance and Administration in financial tasks including, but not limited to: payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, financial reports, digitizing financial documents, and any other financial duties as required. While working mainly out of our head office in Arnprior, there is a requirement for flexibility to travel amongst all centers in Renfrew County as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
  • 1-2 years in a financial setting or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment
  • Experience working in a licensed child care setting considered an asset.

Requirements

  • Must be computer literate and have knowledge of Sage, Quickbooks, Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as experience navigating an HRIS and payroll platform.
  • Up-to-date Standard First Aid and CPR (C)
  • Up-to-date negative Criminal Reference Check (current is within 6 months)
  • Up-to-date Immunization Records and Health Assessment (following RCDHU)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Safety in 4 Steps, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities training (AODA), CCEYA certificate (or ability to complete)
  • A dependable vehicle with proof of a Class G driver's license and insurance.
