We are looking for an efficient payroll administrator to be responsible for all payroll processes. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the payroll administrator will collect, verify, and process payroll information, determine pay and benefit entitlements for employees, maintain accurate payroll records, and provide payroll information within the company. The payroll administrator is primarily responsible for managing employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timecards, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare, verify, and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefit payments, and special payments.
- Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, pension, Record of Employment, and other statements.
- Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll related matters.
- Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile to bank statements.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Manage electronic timecards, ensure correct schedules are inputted.
- Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.
- Manage direct deposits.
- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.
- Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department
- Assist in various accounts payable/receivable tasks as needed.
- Assist with various ad-hoc duties as requested by Manager and/or Director of Finance

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a payroll office with ADP System.
- Experience working with SAP system is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
