Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Rove Concepts Full time

Rove Concepts is a modern luxury furniture brand rooted in design, quality, and innovation. With teams across North America and abroad, we strive to deliver exceptional experiences — from our curated collections to the people who bring them to life.

We're looking for a Part-Time, Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our People & Operations team. This role will own day-to-day payroll execution and benefits administration across multiple entities in Canada and the United States. The workload is lighter during off-weeks and heavier during payroll cycles. You will work closely with Finance and People Operations to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, and that all benefit deductions and records remain clean and compliant.

Employment Type: Part-time (approximately 20 hours per week); workload increases during payroll cycles.

Location: Remote, with availability to collaborate across North American time zones.

Reporting: Reports into the Finance and People Operations leadership team.

What You'll Do:

  • Payroll Processing
  • Process end-to-end payroll for multiple companies across Canada and the U.S.
  • Manage Canadian payroll through ADP Workforce Now and Payworks.
  • Manage U.S. payroll through PayTrax for two U.S. entities.
  • Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, overtime, commissions, vacation, and statutory holidays.
  • Review timesheets and system exports for accuracy before payroll cutoffs; follow up on discrepancies proactively.
  • Ensure all earnings and deductions are coded correctly to reflect benefit plans, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Benefits Administration
  • Administer benefits for employees, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and leaves of absence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across benefits vendor portals.
  • Reconcile benefits and payroll-related invoices against payroll reports and flag variances for review.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee records in alignment with audit, legislative, and internal standards.
  • Support year-end activities such as T4s, T4As, and U.S. annual reporting requirements.
  • Monitor legislative updates impacting payroll and coordinate system/process changes as needed.
  • Provide reporting support to Finance and People Operations, including payroll summaries, headcount data, and benefits cost tracking.
  • Employee Support
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Partner with People Operations to ensure all pay-related changes are captured and updated promptly.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven hands-on payroll experience in a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, including statutory holidays, vacation, overtime, and statutory deductions.
  • Exposure to U.S. payroll — especially California and Florida — is a strong asset.
  • Required systems experience: ADP Workforce Now, Payworks, and PayTrax.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines during payroll weeks.
  • Strong spreadsheet and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • PCP designation or enrollment in the Payroll Compliance Practitioner program is an asset.

What We're Offering:

  • Fast-growing company with many opportunities for personal and professional growth — we invest in and promote from within.
  • A casual, open, and collaborative work environment, with remote work flexibility.
  • Work alongside seasoned entrepreneurs and driven talent who strive to make a difference.
  • A flat organizational structure that empowers decision-making and innovation.

Only selected applications that meet the requirements of the role will be contacted.
