Part-Time Payroll Specialist

We're looking for a Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our People & Operations team. This role will support the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across multiple regions, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements and internal policies.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees across Canada and the U.S.
- Verify employee data, timesheets, and pay adjustments for accuracy prior to submission.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure new hires, terminations, and changes are reflected accurately in the payroll systems.
- Calculate and process vacation pay, overtime, deductions, and other entitlements in accordance with employment standards.
- Support year-end reporting, including T4s, ROEs, and W-2s.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure payroll expenses are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee information.
What You'll Need:
- 2+ years of experience in payroll administration, preferably across multiple provinces/states.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation; experience with U.S. payroll is an asset.
- MUST HAVE experience with: ADP and Payworks for Canadian payroll. PayTrax for U.S. payroll.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
- PCP certification or enrollment in the Payroll Compliance Practitioner program is an asset.
- Part-time position: approximately 20 hours per week (flexible schedule).
