Alforno Bakery & Cafe is expanding its pastry team. We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team and bring artistry, precision, and innovation to our pastry program. Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Currently, we do not offer immigration sponsorship.

What are the duties to perform:

  • Directing staff, ensuring standards and safety compliance, and contributing to training and employee development
  • Prepare and produce high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
  • Develop and execute daily and seasonal pastry offerings
  • Manage pastry prep, production schedules, and inventory
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to support service and events

What will you bring to the team:

  • Positive Attitude and unique attributes and skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • A minimum of 4 years of pastry experience in a similar environment
  • A diploma or degree in Pastry & Baking Culinary Arts or an equivalent field is an asset.
  • Self-starter, flexible, multitasking
  • Extensive food handling and sanitation knowledge
  • Self-motivated, positive, professional
  • Recognizes and follows foodservice trends.
