Job DescriptionThe Front Office Department is now recruiting for the following opportunities:
- Front Desk Agent
- Tour Agent
- Hotel Ambassador
Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant work experience.
Starting Rate: $ $21.31
Our hotel will prioritize any candidates who are available from May – September, 2026
Front Desk Agent:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and professional demeanor
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to fulfill guest requests
- Promote hotel services and upsell rooms and amenities where appropriate
- Manage room reservations using the hotel's property management system (PMS)
Tour Agent:
- Ensure proper reservation setup and billing procedures for tours.
- Provide other hotel departments with information regarding incoming and outgoing tours, Rocky Mountaineer guests, and related tour aspects.
- Prepare for daily arrivals of tours as well as Rocky Mountaineer bus and train arrivals.
- Welcoming guests on the tour buses and answering questions about the hotel
- Provide reception, cashier, and information services of the hotel to tour escorts
Lobby Ambassador:
- Provide a positive and welcoming presence in the resort lobby for our hotel guests.
- Be a liaison with the Front Office, Executive Office, and Fairmont Gold to ensure a smooth arrival and farewell experience with VIP guests
- Be a host in our exclusive guest lounge, The Living Room
Front Desk Agent:
- Previous Front Office/Guest Service experience is an asset
- Opera PMS and MS Office experience preferred
Tour Agent:
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written), second language an asset
- Previous Front Desk and/or Reservations experience in a Mountain Resort setting an asset.
- Property Manager, Word and Excel is an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be a well organized, self motivated individual who works well under pressure.
Lobby Ambassador:
- Previous guest service experience required
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Must possess outstanding guest service skills and sophisticated verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights, and other non-day shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you can meet these requirements as needed.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
