Durham Periodontics is looking for a Level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team.

As a surgical dental assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and hygienists.

Responsibilities include:

-Assist the dentist during surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and equipment are prepared and properly sterilized

-Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a sterile and efficient environment

-Take and process digital dental xrays, impressions and other diagnostic records as required.

-Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and assist in answering any questions or concerns

-Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

-Assist dental hygienists

Requirements:

-Certified Level II Dental Assistant

-Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team oriented environment, while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Wage from $29-$33/hour; commensurate with experience
