Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires proficiency in dental assisting techniques, familiarity with dental software, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and efficient office environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Tracker.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Understand medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of Cerec being a plus.
- Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Tracker.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent patient care are crucial for success in this role.
Tracker Software: 1 year (preferred)
Dental Assisting: 2 years (preferred)
License/Certification: Certified Dental Assistant Level II with HARP (required)
