Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, order picking, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and safety procedures to ensure smooth and safe operations within a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly valued.

Duties

  • Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and attention to detail
  • Operate heavy machinery safely, including forklifts and other heavy equipment
  • Manage inventory through warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels
  • Assist in the movement of materials within the warehouse, including construction materials if applicable
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
  • Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for load & unload operations
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues when necessary

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related fields such as construction or logistics
  • Familiarity with order picker, crane, forklift, clamp truck, and other heavy equipment operation
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus
  • Prior experience in shipping & receiving roles is desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks including load & unload activities for extended periods
