Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Real Estate Paralegal

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to work on a diverse range of commercial property transactions in a collaborative and professional environment.

Duties:

  • Manage client files from opening to closing, including conflict searches and client identification
  • Conduct Land Title and BC Online searches and perform due diligence
  • Communicate with clients, lawyers, brokers, lenders, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare documentation for acquisitions, sales, financing, and development of commercial properties
  • Review and analyze title encumbrances and prepare instruments for covenants and easements
  • Prepare and maintain transaction summaries, closing agendas, and key date diaries
  • Handle trust-related documentation, payouts, and internal trust records
  • Draft correspondence and finalize reporting letters
  • Prepare billing and invoicing at transaction completion
  • Provide general administrative and transactional support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role handling commercial real estate transactions
  • Strong knowledge of Land Title and Survey Authority registration requirements (web-filing/LOTR)
  • Experience with E-Conveyance and familiarity with LOTA filings an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Discretion, sound judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
