About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources & Payroll, the HR Generalist will manage day-to-day human resources functions across multiple dealership locations. This role is ideal for someone who is solutions-focused, values confidentiality and thrives in a fast-paced environment, while acting as a trusted partner to both employees and leadership.

You will serve as a key resource for managers, helping them navigate employee relations, performance management, and HR policies with confidence and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Managers: Act as a trusted HR partner to store leaders, helping them with coaching, performance management, and employee development while upholding company values.
  • Employee Relations: Handle sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion. Foster a workplace culture that reflects respect, care and accountability.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with posting open positions, screening, scheduling interviews and facilitating seamless onboarding across locations as required.
  • Learning & Development: Working alongside the Department Managers to ensure annual performance reviews are completed.
  • Policy and Compliance Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable employment laws across Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
  • HR metrics and reporting: Gather relevant data and reporting on key HR metrics.
  • Travel: Provide in person HR support to dealerships in other provinces as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years in an HR Generalist role, preferably in a muli-location retail, dealership or service industry setting.
  • Character: High level of professionalism and confidentiality,

  • Able to stay neutral and objective, avoiding internal politics while maintaining strong relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust with both frontline staff and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent follow-through.
  • Travel: Must be able and willing to travel interprovincially as needed.
