Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives and drive business expansion. This role involves overseeing development projects, fostering client relationships, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in nutraceutical, food, pharma, cosmetic, and related industries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, brand owners, consultants, and regulatory professionals
- Understand client testing requirements and coordinate with internal technical teams
- Prepare and follow up on proposals, quotations, and service agreements
- Represent the company in virtual meetings, networking events, and industry discussions
- Track leads, opportunities, and conversions using CRM or tracking tools
- Provide market feedback to support service expansion and strategic planning
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to identify new market opportunities and expand existing client base.
- Lead negotiations with potential clients, partners, and vendors to secure beneficial agreements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget parameters.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that support growth objectives.
- Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to track leads, manage customer relationships, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal teams including sales, marketing, product development, and operations to align efforts toward common goals.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.
- Prepare reports on development activities, performance metrics, and market insights for senior management.
Skills
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles with a focus on strategic growth initiatives.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Excellent project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in marketing principles and experience working with marketing teams to develop campaigns.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for managing customer data and sales pipelines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building lasting client relationships.
- Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
