This position comes with guaranteed hours of 30-35 per week*

About the Opportunity:

This position is responsible for carrying out a high standard of work relating the Snow Removal Division of Peter Hughes Landscape. This work includes but is not limited to shoveling snow, operating small engine equipment (backpack blowers, sweepers, and snow blowers), scraping ice, and assisting other departments as needed.

  • Drive crew and trailer to job sites
  • Shovel snow manually
  • Chip ice when needed
  • Delegate site work/manage crew
  • Apply ice melt/gravel when required
  • Operates a variety of mechanical equipment such as snow blowers/sidewalk sweepers.
  • Ensure the job is completed in the most time-efficient manner.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
  • Meet desired production rates, quality control, and safety measures.
  • Maintain all equipment and report any concerns
  • Keep accurate daily logs in accordance with PHL company procedures of site times, materials used, etc...

What You Bring to the Table

  • 2-3 years of previous landscape, construction, and snow removal experience as a foreman
  • Must hold a valid driver's license (class 5) and be able to present a clean driver's abstract
  • Able to work on-call during the winter season.
  • Demonstrated competency in using property maintenance equipment (shovels, snow blowers, backpack blowers, sweepers).
  • Commitment to demonstrating high-quality workmanship, efficient production, and exceeding safety requirements.
  • Clean and professional appearance, punctual, and dependable.
