About the Job: We are seeking an Experienced Landscape Crew Lead - we are looking for a highly dedicated motivated individual who loves working in the outdoors who has the passion for the industry. Must have experience in Hardscaping and operating construction equipment such as skid steers, tractors, mini loader, etc. Project Management skills and leading a crew is a Must. You are responsible for overseeing, monitoring, planning and scheduling key landscaping and/or construction jobs. This position will include but not limited to - organize and manage the productivity of crews, tools, materials and maintaining a safe working standards. You will be physically working on site with a crew to produce jobs on time and within budget. Working in all types of weather conditions. Details: - Get materials from suppliers. - Experience to drive, haul truck and trailers; be able to back up with trailer - Experience with Installing irrigation, rock walls, patios, retaining walls, walk ways, etc. - Regrade and use laser levels, lay sod - prepping and removal. - Make patios and lay bricks, spread mulching & aggregates, planting trees & shrubs - Organize and direct construction of fences, decks, walls and/or stairs - Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. - Ability to push, pull and lift heavy weight - Ability to communicate effectively with crew members. - Ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet tight deadlines. - Operate and maintain equipment. - Reliable, punctual, and leads by example as a Leader, resolve work related problems. Pay: - Wage $25.00 - $35.00/hour - **Wage will be negotiated based upon experience** **Requirements**: - Must have a Clean Driver's Abstract prior to start of employment & Minimum 3 years Driving experience attached to a Valid Provincial Driver's License for our commercial insurance requirements. - CSA Approved Steel-toed boots. - Must be willing to work 8 - 10 hour days in season ( Monday to Friday) Qualifications: - Minimum 2 - 3 years of overall experience. - Carpentry experience a must - Experience in operating Skid Steer, Mini 2-Ton Excavator, Mini Loader, Jackhammer, Clean Fill Hauling and Concrete Hauling. - "Q" Endorsement / Air Brakes an asset - willing to pay for training after probationary period, pending on clean Drivers Abstract - Experience using equipment with hardscaping - Experience in any horticultural, forestry, arbor culture, carpentry, construction, - Landscape construction & hardscaping experience Physical Capabilities: - Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs more, physically demanding requiring walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time, working long hours. - Attention to detail, work under pressure.
