Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Estimator located in Calgary, AB. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing blueprints and specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates, and coordinating with project teams to develop accurate budgets. Tasks will include identifying labor, material, and time requirements, evaluating project timelines, providing cost recommendations, and ensuring alignment with client expectations. Collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders is a key component of this role.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in cost estimating, budgeting, and financial analysis within the construction or drywall industry.
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical documents, and project specifications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Proficiency in using project management and construction estimating software is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • 5+ years experience in residential and commercial drywall or construction projects is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is considered an advantage.
