Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure competitive and precise pricing. This role is vital in securing new projects and maintaining profitability by delivering comprehensive and reliable estimates. The Estimator will utilize industry-standard tools and possess strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate and justify project costs. Must have a JM ticket and experience in plumbing and estimating.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed construction estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
  • Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare accurate cost analyses.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and refine estimates.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on material costs, labor rates, and industry trends.
  • Prepare bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of costs, schedules, and scope of work.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive yet profitable bids.
  • Assist in project management tasks related to budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation as needed.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing agreements.
