Are you a seasoned estimator with a passion for precision and leadership? Join a dynamic project services team where you'll lead the development of multidiscipline estimates for major oil & gas construction and fabrication projects. This role offers autonomy, stakeholder engagement, and the chance to mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of estimates across engineering, fabrication, procurement, and construction
- Review scope, specifications, and drawings to define estimate content
- Perform material take-offs and pricing for equipment and sub-trades
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Develop cost-loaded project schedules
- Present estimates to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify strategies for competitive bidding
- Mentor and guide junior estimating staff
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in estimating roles
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Technical/Trades diploma
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel and strong MS Office skills
- Advanced knowledge of cost estimating methodologies and industry guidelines (CIQS, AACE)
- Experience with fabrication, construction practices, and project scheduling
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Prior oil & gas construction and manufacturing experience preferred
