Reports to: Food Services Manager and General Manager

Qualifications:

* Experience in food service in a customer service role is an asset

* Familiar with HACCP, WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety

* Safe Food Handling Certificate an asset

* Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.

* Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

* Ability to follow through on a job from start to finish, troubleshoot, prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team.

* Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a retirement residence or long term care setting.

*Previous experience serving/waitressing an asset

* Clear Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Persons Sector Screen (dated within 10 months prior to employment start date).

* Provide clear TB skin test results (upon hire)

General Duties:

* Serve Food & Beverages with a focus on customer service to seniors

* Clearing Tables, Sanitizing and re-setting

* Operation of commercial dishwasher and complete manual washing as required

* Assist Cook with food plating as required

* Regular cleaning of Food Service Area

* Assist with the monitoring of resident attendance and eating habits

* Adhere to established policies and procedures

Job Types: Casual, Permanent (Shifts ranging from 6am-8pm on a call in, shift offer basis)

Starting Rate of Pay $17.77 per hour

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $17.77 per hour
