Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team in providing high-quality nutritional care in a supportive living environment. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food service, and sanitation duties to ensure residents receive nutritious and appealing meals. Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents while developing skills in food handling, safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and serving in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
  • Prepare and portion food items for residents, ensuring proper presentation and temperature
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dining areas, and food storage spaces
  • Follow food safety protocols including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items
  • Support with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents or patients while maintaining quality standards
  • Provide friendly and respectful customer service to residents during meal times
  • Adhere to sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for both staff and residents

Experience

  • Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
  • Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Experience in kitchen environments with food safety certifications is a plus
  • Strong time management skills to handle meal schedules efficiently
  • Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents or patients

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $19.10 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
