Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and analytical thinker to join our team as an Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible to support administrative, accounting and logistics functions for the purchase, movement and sale of commodities.

What you'll do

  • Review and verify purchases, sales contracts, and invoicing for accuracy and compliance.

  • Analyze stock, inventory positions, and daily crush yields; monitor origin inventory and destination unload data.

  • Oversee daily commodity activities, including shipping and transit reports, and troubleshoot grain sales contracts.

  • Review payables, receivables, and credit transactions to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

  • Prepare and reconcile inventory and profit and loss statements, investigating discrepancies and variances.

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in financial reporting in financial reporting and accounting with a post-secondary degree in Commerce/Administration majoring in accounting, or a Saskatchewan Polytechnic diploma in accounting.

  • Proficient in MS Office, experienced with various software programs, and enrolled in the CPA PREP or PEP program.
