What We Are Looking For :

We're looking for a proactive Senior Accountant, ready to take on more complex responsibilities and contribute to team success. In this role, you'll lead key financial processes, perform detailed financial analyses and collaborate with team members on more advanced projects. You'll also mentor junior colleagues, helping them grow while ensuring the accuracy and quality of financial deliverables. What You Will Be Doing :

  • Provide routine record-keeping of financial transactions using leading-edge accounting and financial management systems at an increasing broader and complex level
  • Prepare and remit regulatory government filings
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, conducting financial and variance analyses
  • Prepare interim and year-end financial statements
  • Prepare and issue financial statements and relevant reports for our clients and other stakeholders
  • Lead and/or review the work of Junior Accountants through delegation, training, oversight, and mentoring
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of client deliverables
  • Assist Associates and Senior Associates with client projects as assigned
  • Embrace feedback and mentoring from colleagues to further develop skills and abilities
  • Participating in team activities and offering support to colleagues, helping to build a strong and cohesive work environment

Education and Experience :

  • Post-secondary education focused on accounting such as a diploma or Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5+ years accounting experience
  • CPA designation or CPA candidate is considered a strong asset
  • Broad experience in managing general ledgers, bank/loan/account reconciliations and tax remittances for medium and small-sized businesses
  • Broad experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with cloud-based accounting solutions (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and financial technology tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize work assignments for themselves and assigned team members
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Capacity to assume responsibility in a leadership role for increasingly complicated tasks and assignments
  • Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information
