Quality Improvement Specialist

Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Professional Practice, Patient Experience, Quality & Risk, the Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting initiatives that enhance patient care and organizational performance. Working closely with stakeholders, this role drives the development and implementation of the Quality Plan, facilitates workshops, coaches staff and leaders, and promotes best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
Qualifications and Experience
Undergraduate degree in a health-related field, leadership, or quality improvement required Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) certification strongly preferred Certifications in Change Management, Coaching, and Teaching/Training are assets Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in a similar role, ideally within complex healthcare settings Knowledge of regulatory bodies, relevant legislation, and quality improvement methodologies preferred Experience with workflow process mapping required Familiarity with data analysis tools and healthcare reporting systemsSkills and Abilites
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Expertise in quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, CQI) Project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives Excellent communication and facilitation skills Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate staff and leaders Skilled in change management and fostering engagement Strong interpersonal skills for building collaborative relationships Adaptability in complex healthcare environments Technical proficiency with data analysis and reporting systemsOur Values

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday. Weekend work may be required as needed.
