We currently have a Regular Full-time opportunity for a Quality Improvement Specialist in the Centre for Quality Improvement & Patient Safety department at the Bayview Campus.
Hours of Work:
Weekdays: Days; 8hrs; As per schedule
Summary of Responsibilities:
CQuIPS Organizational QI Capacity Building Program:
Engage with client organizations to promote CQuIPS and provide information about organizational QI capacity building opportunities.
Work with client organizations to co-create QI workshop agendas and customize content to address institutional QI strategic priorities
Support the delivery of the workshops
Coordinate and support coaching for QI project teams based in client organizations
Coordinate planning meetings between CQuIPS and client organization leadership team
QI and patient safety community building:
Coordinate community building meetings and events
Monitor and support community QI and patient safety work streams
Support specific QI and patient safety projects
Coordinate community building communication and reporting
Provide coaching and support to CQuIPS learners for priority QI projects
Contribute to the overall CQuIPS strategic vision and mission
Participate in weekly CQuIPS leadership team meetings
Summary of qualifications and skills:
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or other relevant fields; Master's degree in Health/Business Administration, QI and Patient Safety, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred
Member in good standing of a regulated healthcare profession is an asset
Minimum of 5-years experience in healthcare QI and patient safety or related experience in the healthcare field
Demonstrated experience leading QI and patient safety initiatives in a healthcare setting
Experience working with clinicians and healthcare teams is required; experience coaching QI teams is preferred
Project management
experience (planning, implementation, and evaluation) is considered an asset
Demonstrated change management skills (consulting, negotiating, influencing)
Experience working with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Demonstrated analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment
Highly effective written, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to achieving results through collaboration, in keeping with the CQuIPS vision, mission and values
Ability to function independently and as a part of the multidisciplinary team
