Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. Candidate will be required to work in the pharmacy, dispensing, as well as work clinically in a diabetes educator role. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medical terminology, and a commitment to patient care. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and providing exceptional medication management services. Candidates are required to have Kroll experience. Candidates must posses CDE.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient and accurate medication dispensing
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Ensure compliance with all regulations governing pharmacy practice
- Oversee medication inventory management, including ordering, storage, and security of pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans involving medication therapy
- Maintain accurate documentation related to medication administration and patient records
- Implement policies and procedures to uphold safety standards and quality assurance measures
- Stay current with developments in pharmacology, hospital protocols, and healthcare regulations to ensure best practices are followed
Requirements
- Valid pharmacist license in Ontario
- Experience with Kroll
- CDE
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with healthcare providers and patients
- Commitment to patient-centered care with a focus on safety and accuracy
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience managing pharmacy operations within a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $43.15-$63.36 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
