Our client is looking for a contract based Senior Integration / API Developer responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable APIs and connectors. Focus is on extract and normalize identity, user, and access data from enterprise systems to support SOX-compliant access reviews.

This role bridges enterprise applications, identity platforms, and audit requirements, ensuring data integrity, security, and operational reliability across the access review lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop APIs and system connectors to extract user, role, and permission data from enterprise platforms
  • Implement APIs using
    Azure Functions
    and
    OpenAPI specifications
  • Ensure APIs meet
    SOX audit requirements
    , including traceability, accuracy, and security
  • Apply best practices for data normalization, transformation, and validation
  • Collaborate with IAM, security, audit, and business stakeholders to validate access data models
  • Monitor API performance, uptime, and error conditions (e.g., failed access reviews, data anomalies)
  • Investigate and resolve production issues and defects proactively
  • Maintain API security posture across authentication, authorization, and data handling
  • Ensure ongoing SOX compliance throughout the API lifecycle
  • Support enhancements and integrations for future IGA initiatives

Requirements

  • 7+ years of backend or integration development experience in enterprise environments
  • Proven experience developing APIs using Azure Functions and OpenAPI
  • Strong expertise in RESTful API design
  • Deep knowledge of authentication and authorization standards: OAuth2, SAML
  • Hands-on experience integrating with enterprise systems such as: Oracle, Salesforce, SAP (or equivalent ERP/CRM platforms)
  • Strong understanding of data security, integrity, and auditability
  • Experience supporting systems subject to SOX or regulatory compliance

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Identity Governance or IAM platforms
  • Exposure to OKIOK RACM or similar access review tools
  • Experience working in regulated or audit-heavy environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD collaboration models
