Job SummaryRole OverviewThe General Volunteer will support a range of MAX Calgary initiatives, including industry panel and mentorship programming, events, and administrative activities. This role is primarily remote (approximately 90%) and requires the volunteer to be based in Alberta, with the ability to provide in-person support in Calgary as needed.
The volunteer will work collaboratively with MAX Calgary leadership and teams to help ensure programs and events are well-coordinated, responsive, and impactful.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Administrative Support
Support coordination of program activities, schedules, and communicationsAssist with tracking engagement and maintaining program documentationSupport follow-ups, data organization, and basic reporting related to program initiativesEvent & Logistics Support
Assist with planning and logistics for programs, events and sessionsProvide in-person support in Calgary when requiredSupport registration, attendance tracking, and participant communicationsCollaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with the MAX Calgary leadershipSupport outreach and ongoing communication with mentors and menteesContribute ideas and feedback to enhance processes and participant experienceQualifications & Experience2–3 years of professional experience in any fieldPrevious volunteering experience is an asset but not requiredStrong organizational, communication, and time-management skillsComfortable working independently in a primarily remote, collaborative environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace toolsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesMust be based in Alberta and able to attend in-person meetings or events in Calgary as requiredWhat We OfferOpportunities to network with accomplished Muslim professionalsAccess to mentorship and professional developmentHands-on experience supporting community-based mentorship programmingA meaningful opportunity to contribute to MAX's mission and impactNotes to Applicants
