Qualifications & Certifications:

Required Certifications: CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015

Driver's License: Active Alberta Class 5 Driver's License with a Clean Driver's Abstract

Language: English proficiency required

Required Experience:

Industry Experience: Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial construction settings

Specialized Skills: Metal flashing installation, wall cladding systems (aluminum, steel, composite panels), waterproofing details, and sheet metal fabrication

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs.)

Work Environment: Indoor and outdoor job sites with exposure to varying weather conditions, heights, and confined spaces

Work Conditions: Fast-paced, physically demanding environment that requires attention to detail and precision

Essential Skills & Competencies:Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, seal, and finish metal flashing systems on roofs, parapets, windows, and building transitions
  • Measure, cut, and fit sheet metal and cladding panels according to specifications
  • Install exterior wall systems including aluminum composite panels, corrugated panels, and custom metal trims
  • Perform caulking, waterproofing, and weatherproofing around flashing and panel joints
  • Operate power tools, metal brakes, shears, drills, and other equipment safely and efficiently
  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and manufacturer details
  • Ensure all installations meet project quality standards and safety requirements

  • Strong understanding of building envelope systems and flashing details
  • Ability to work from heights using ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts
  • Proficient in measuring, layout, and precise cutting
  • Effective communication and teamwork on multi-trade job sites
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills
  • Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining a clean, organized work area
