Position Overview

We are seeking a Metal Worker / HVAC Technician with experience in metal fabrication, welding, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate is highly skilled with tools, enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving, and takes pride in creating durable, precise work that stands the test of time.

You'll be responsible for fabricating and installing metal components, repairing HVAC systems, and supporting construction and restoration projects. This is a hands-on position with plenty of variety and opportunity to expand your skills.

Key Responsibilities Metal Fabrication & Construction

  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform welding, finishing, and restoration work on metal structures and components.
  • Support general construction activities, including carpentry and plumbing
  • Apply caulking, sealing, and finishing techniques for high-quality results.

HVAC Service & Repair

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and seasonal inspections on heating and cooling systems.
  • Assist with installation of furnaces, air conditioners, and ventilation equipment.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency service requests.

General

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Uphold company standards of professionalism, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Metal Worker, Fabricator, or HVAC Technician.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in welding, fabrication, and use of metalworking tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
  • Experience in general construction trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • HVAC or sheet metal trade certification (asset but not required).
