Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our construction office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. They should have knowledge of construction field

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry and record keeping
  • Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and company records
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve them efficiently
  • Assist with account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Support payroll processing by verifying employee hours and deductions
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
  • Assist in budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance roles
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is required
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
  • Experience with account analysis, budgeting, and payroll processing is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors
  • Must have 3 years min experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
