POSITION OVERVIEW

CFO is seeking an enthusiastic, self-directed, innovative, and collaborative Employment Readiness Coordinator to lead the development of our employment readiness programming. This role will develop content, build partnerships with local employers, and provide hands-on support to young adults with developmental disabilities as they prepare for inclusive, community-based employment opportunities.

The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion, skilled in program coordination, and comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from participants and families to employers and community organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Development & Delivery

· Develop employment readiness activities and materials.

· Research and implement evidence-based practices for employment readiness.

· Design and deliver skill-building curriculum and workshops for participants.

· Create partnerships with employment readiness agencies to expand opportunities for participants.

· Research and explore social enterprise partnerships.

· Develop evaluation tools to measure program success and participant outcomes.

Community & Employer Engagement

· Build and strengthen partnerships with local employers and community agencies.

· Develop and implement an Employment Partner Engagement Plan.

· Create a Partnership Resource Guide to assist employers in implementing inclusive hiring practices.

· Facilitate community outreach meetings and presentations.

Training & Support

· Develop and deliver staff training materials related to employment readiness.

· Provide on-site coaching and support to participants during work experience or internships.

· Work collaboratively with program staff to ensure consistent, person-centred service delivery.

Monitoring & Reporting

· Proven ability to produce clear, professional, and well-organized written materials.

· Track program outcomes and prepare summary reports.

· Support ongoing program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

· Post-secondary education (degree/ diploma) in Disability Studies, Human Services, or a related field.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in employment readiness, vocational support, or disability services.

· Experience developing and facilitating curriculum or group programming.

· Strong understanding of Calgary's employment and community resources that support job readiness.

· Experience creating workplace opportunities.

· Excellent documentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.

· Strong understanding of inclusive employment practices and community collaboration.

· Exceptional written, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
