Calgary, Canada The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) Full time

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct intake interviews with clients to assess employment history, education, skills, and career goals
- Identify barriers to employment and provide practical support in areas such as resume writing, job search strategies, interview preparation, and job readiness
- Support clients with workplace integration, career advancement strategies, and adjusting to employment transitions
- Administer and interpret career assessments to identify client interests, aptitudes, and suitable career paths
- Compile and submit accurate data and reports monthly, quarterly, and annually, as required by the program
- Participate in internal team meetings and interagency committees to support program coordination and client referrals
- Support the department employment related events as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Career Development, Human Services, Business, or a related field
- Certification in Career Development, Employment Counselling, or related professional designation is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of experience in employment counselling, career coaching, or workforce development, preferably with newcomers or diverse populations
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian labour market, job search strategies, and workplace culture
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to administer and interpret employment-related assessments (e.g., personality, skills, or interest inventories)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, job search platforms, and online tools for career development
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple client files and meet reporting deadlines
- Culturally sensitive and able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of employment standards and community resources in Alberta is an asset
- Fluency in a second language is considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $40,823.02-$55,000.00 per year
