Engage Engineering specializes in Civil Engineering services, offering expertise in municipal infrastructure design and inspection, water resources design, asset management, community development, and construction services.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Student or Technician to join our dynamic team for the summer term from May to August 2026. In this role, you will collaborate closely with experienced engineers, designers, and construction inspectors who will provide hands-on guidance and mentoring. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in various aspects of civil engineering, including water resources, municipal design, surveying, and construction inspection.

Reporting To:
The Civil Engineering/Technologist Student will report to an assigned Senior Manager.

Location:
This position is based at our Peterborough office, with fieldwork involving construction site visits and meetings within approximately one hour of Peterborough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support challenging assignments and projects.
  • Apply and develop your knowledge in water resources, municipal engineering, land development, and construction.
  • Assist with general and administrative projects, as required.
  • Conduct construction site inspections and provide accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or Civil Technician program.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience in municipal engineering and water resources is an asset but not required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is as asset.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this role is $22–$24, depending on experience.
