Job Description:

Femo Construction Ltd., a leading concrete construction company based in the Lower Mainland, is currently seeking a dedicated Site Safety Personnel to oversee and support safety specifically within formwork operations on our active job sites. This role is not a site superintendent or general jobsite safety position, but one focused solely on formwork-specific safety compliance and monitoring.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and addressing potential hazards related to formwork setup, concrete pours, and dismantling procedures—ensuring strict adherence to WorkSafeBC regulations and internal safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce safety compliance for formwork activities on site.
  • Conduct regular formwork safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Assist crews with hazard identification and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and formwork-specific safety briefings.
  • Report and document safety violations or incidents in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the site superintendent and project management team to ensure safety measures are effectively integrated into the workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in concrete construction and/or formwork safety.
  • Sound knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations related to concrete/formwork operations.
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 (or higher) is an asset.
  • CSO or NCSO certification is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and observational skills.
  • Valid BC driver's license and reliable transportation, as you may be required to work at different sites across the Lower Mainland.
