We are looking to expand our team with motivated, hard-working individuals looking for secure, year-round work. We are currently hiring a Site Foreperson to run project sites in the Lower Mainland. If you are professional and a personable leader committed to the overall objective and self-development with the company then read further Site Foreperson are responsible for overseeing trades and effectively managing daily on site activities. They must possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage and professionally interact with the design professionals, consultants and client while successfully directing the sub-contractors and other construction related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. **WHAT WE OFFER**: Competitive Salary Company Car RRSP Matching Excellent Extended Benefits Packages Paid Vacation Free Parking Staff Events - We value safety, respect and upholding our reputation for quality work._ **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO**: Assist in the preparation of the project schedule Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems Review and accept the general conditions budget Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements Communicate with design team/client as well as effectively lead the trades Contact, schedule and coordinate all subcontractors, suppliers, deficiency lists and utilities Monitor and main the project construction schedule on a weekly basis Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings Inform the Project Manager of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant's design drawings Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are met Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control Control and monitor labour, material, and equipment expenses Assist in the preparation of the monthly cost forecasting summaries Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operations of Vanguard Mechanical directly owned equipment on site Ensure that " as-built" drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period Other related duties as required **Contact us today about this opportunity** **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Company car - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: - Lower Mainland, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Education**: - AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred) Work Location: In person
