Subcontractor Carpenter

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Set up, build, and strip wood, steel, and ICF formwork systems for foundations, walls, and slabs
- Read and interpret construction drawings, elevations, and formwork plans
- Assist in the placement, consolidation, and finishing of concrete to achieve specified finishes (structural and architectural)
- Ensure all work meets Northstone’s quality and safety standards
- Coordinate with site supervisors, pump operators, and other trades as required
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Use proper PPE and comply with WorkSafeBC safety regulations

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in concrete forming and/or finishing
- Strong carpentry skills and understanding of formwork layout and assembly
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high-quality workmanship
- Valid WorkSafeBC coverage (subcontractor WCB number required)
- Liability insurance preferred

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with ICF, tilt-up, or architectural concrete
- Knowledge of rebar placement and site layout
- Red Seal Carpenter or equivalent experience

**Compensation**:

- Competitive piece-rate or hourly pay structure based on experience and scope
