Family Tree Therapy is a small (but mighty) group practice in Belleville, Ontario. We believe that children share their world through play and it's our privilege to listen. We specialize in creating welcoming and engaging spaces where kids and their caregivers feel safe, seen and soothed. Our team and our spaces offer progressive & innovative expressive therapeutic approaches including:

Our clients

We primarily work with children, youth and their families. We've designed spaces that are child-centered and welcoming to all ages. We also see caregivers and other adults who seek out creative therapeutic approaches for the tough stuff in life. There is space at Family Tree Therapy for new ideas and programs. From group therapy offerings to training facilitation, we understand that when you're passionate and excited about what you do, our service recipients experience that joy and connection too.

Who you are:

A compassionate and creative therapist who is interested, or already has skills, in expressive therapeutic work with children and adults. We welcome professionals at any stage of their professional journey, from those just starting out to experts wanting to expand their scope of practice. You are someone who is:

  • Registered and in good standing with your respective professional college in Ontario (e.g., Registered social worker or Psychotherapist)
  • A qualifying professional or student
  • An independent contractor
  • Looking for a flexible commitment

Why join our team?

We're doing it differently. Traditional talk therapy approaches don't always work for all folks and especially children. Instead, we offer different ways to meet people where they're at, from a 'bottom up' brain approach. As a team colleague, you'll start at a 60-40 split which will include:

  • Shared software licence through Jane
  • PHIPA compliant email to collaborate with the team and communicate with clients
  • Social media and community marketing
  • Administration support for managing referrals and waitlist
  • Large therapy rooms with natural light, a space you can call your own
  • All the child-centered therapy supplies you need to practice the way you want with families
  • 1:1 and group supervision that can be counted towards CRPO, Play Therapy Certification or other professional development
  • All client consumables to welcome families into session (coffee, tea, snacks, etc.)
  • Opportunities to connect and collaborate with other like-minded therapists

New centre in Downtown Belleville, Ontario We have a strong referral network in the Bay of Quinte area. We are one of the only group therapy practices offering dedicated child-centered therapy and expressive therapeutic approaches all under one roof.
