As a luxury renovator, we complete complex, architecturally driven remodels that require advanced construction knowledge and site leadership.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Hand to support site supervisors and project managers in day-to-day operations. This position is ideal for someone with senior carpentry experience who can lead crews, coordinate trades, and ensure projects progress smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Supervisor in coordinating daily site activities and managing work sequences.
  • Provide hands-on carpentry and skilled labour, ensuring work aligns with high-end standards.
  • Lead small crews and subcontractors, ensuring professionalism and quality.
  • Communicate timelines, material needs, and site issues with the project manager.
  • Support quality control by inspecting work, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Uphold strict safety and cleanliness standards on site.
  • Represent Sandy Hill Construction professionally with clients, vendors, and city inspectors.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7–12 years of residential construction or luxury renovation experience.
  • Strong hands-on skillset in both rough and finish carpentry.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing small teams and coordinating site activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex renovation challenges.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and construction best practices.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
