Job Description:

The Head Chef will lead menu development, ingredient sourcing, and kitchen execution for Freequency's premium meal programs. This role demands creativity, precision, and leadership within a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute seasonal menus aligned with Freequency's wellness and luxury ethos
  • Source and evaluate high-quality, sustainable ingredients from local and global suppliers
  • Oversee production and quality control for all prepared meals
  • Train and mentor culinary team members to maintain fine-dining standards
  • Implement kitchen systems and workflows for efficiency and consistency
  • Ensure food cost management, cleanliness, and compliance with health/safety standards
  • Collaborate with the founders on culinary storytelling, events, and partnerships

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–7 years experience in a fine-dining, high-volume, or wellness-driven kitchen
  • Proven leadership experience (Sous Chef or Executive Chef level preferred)
  • Culinary diploma or Red Seal certification an asset
  • Demonstrated creativity and strong understanding of whole-food nutrition
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Passion for innovation, sustainability, and premium dining experiences

Language: English required
